Frequently asked questions

More information may also appear on ramakoti.app when the full site is available.

What time and when can I write rama namam?

Just about “Any Time” “Any Where” and in “Any Mood”. In Sanskrit it is called “Sarva Kaala Sarvaavasthe..” That is the nature and benevolence of rama nama. There is no restriction as per rishis. Utter it clearly in the mind or outward while writing—that is all.

Is there a goal or target?

The spirit of this is to write and recite as many times as you can. 108 is an auspicious number for every round. The ultimate peak goal is to write Rama’s name one crore (10 million) times as a devotional path.

What is the best way to use this app and how many times should I write?

Have a daily routine and time to write the nama. Whenever you sit to write, complete at least 108 in one session. The app gives a visual notification at every round of 108. Or whenever you are idle and have your phone, open the app and start writing and reciting Rama namam.

Why does the writing screen record a nama even if I write anything on the screen?

This is a self-regulated spiritual app where you are answerable to yourself. We provide a writing surface meant for clearly writing “Rama”—use it wisely and honestly.

What is the purpose of this app?

The Rama Koti Notebook app helps you practice writing “Rama” namam (name) as a spiritual practice. The goal is to write Rama’s name one crore (10 million) times as a devotional exercise.
